Conversations

The boys were watching Transformers the other day and this is the conversation I heard:

Riley: Nik, which one do you want, the 40 or 50 year old virgin?
Nik: I don't know, Riley
Riley: I want the 50 year old virgin because it has racing stripes and looks like it goes fast!

I laughed so hard...so innocent.
***if you haven't seen the movie, you won't get this, but it was just too funny!***

My Boys...

I took these the other day and can't believe how big the boys are getting...

Snow Fun!

Lat week there was a 2 hour late start to the school day because of the snow...there wasn't enough snow to sled on, so the boys improvised and used their skateboards...

We did have some casualties though...of course we were rushing to get to school, and in that rush, I ran over 2 scooters that the boys had left on the driveway...I HATE LATE STARTS!

Thirsty?

Nate was sick over the weekend and I think I know why...

New Addition

We have added a Bassett Hound to the family. His name is Enzo (yes, it's a boy, the story of my life) and he's 5 months old. He's very good and fits well into the family.

Obsessed Much?

Nate is OBSESSED with quite a few things these days so I thought I'd write a few down:
1. Transformers...the movies, the action figures, anything and everything Transformers...he watches the movie every day.
2. Taking Pictures...I have to hide the camera from him because he's always trying to snap a few shots.
3. Gum...he raids my purse daily because I always forget to put it up. On the plus side, his diapers smell like DoubleMint...on the down side, his diapers smell like DoubleMint, so I never knows when to change him! We are in constant diaper rash mode right now!
4. My Christmas Ornaments...I thought I'd be out of that stage this year, but my tree is in constant disarray because he's ALWAYS pulling the ornaments off and kicking them like soccer balls!

A Night With BONO

Tuesday night we headed to Glendale, to the Cardinals Stadium, to watch U2...what a fun night!  It was our first time seeing them in concert and we already can't wait until their next tour. We went with our good friends, Will and Melissa and met up with with our other good friends Jared and Meghan at the concert.  Even though we didn't get home until 2 a.m. it was totally worth it!

This is the stage...Adam knows all these neat facts about it, but I do know that it's the biggest stage ever...pretty fitting for U2!
The Black-Eyed Peas opened for U2 and they were great!

Manassa, Colorado

The boys and I ventured off to Colorado for Fall Break to visit my in-laws, better known as Granny and Papa, and a gaggle of cousins! What a trip...9 hours in the car is a lot, but the boys were great travelers!

We hiked the "M" mountain...during which I realized the boys are too fearless for my liking!

The view of the San Luis Valley, from the top of the "M" mountain...

My brother-in-law, Aaron is the head coach for one of the local football teams in the Valley, and he asked Nikolas to be one of the Ball Boys with his son, Lincoln....what a night!
Nikolas got to run out on the field and get the T's after the kick off and extra points...I'm pretty sure it was one of the highlights of the trip for him!

We got to watch Uncle Ryan play football...he's the quarterback...the boys were so proud!

Nate and Granny throwing rocks and trying to stay dry!
I love Colorado in the Fall, probably my favorite time of year there!Granny and Riley...he loves his Granny!
One of my new favorite pictures of Nikolas...if only I could edit his ASU sweater...oh well!
The 3 boys...what a fun time!
It was a fun but exhausting week!

Soccer Time

It's that time of year again...Soccer practice 4 nights a week and games every Saturday!

Riley has become quite the kicker!

Scouts

Nikolas had to build a bird house for scouts and the job of overseeing the building process landed on mom...poor kid!  About half way through the building process, we realized that the pieces were backwards, and had to take the house completely apart!  The house got built and now, Nikolas is waiting for dad to string it up in the backyard so some birds can move in!
Fun filled Scout Pack Meeting = More patches for mom to sew on!

California

We ventured off to California for Labor Day and had a blast.  It was a QUICK trip, but we managed to squeeze in Disneyland and the beach.

Nikolas and Riley had so much fun playing in the ocean...

Nate wasn't too sure about the ocean, so he played in the sand ALL day!We watched the "Honey I Shrunk the Audience" show, in 3-D...the boys loved it!

Nikolas and Riley's first trip on the Log Ride...Nikolas'
 FAVORITE ride by far!

My little sister came with us...the boys LOVED having Aunt Christyn to ride with!
If you can't tell from his expressions, Riley LOVED Space Mountain...he rode it like 6 times!

Nate

This is what happens when you spend ALL day at the soccer field!

Adam keeps trying to get me to cut his hair, but I'm not caving this time!

Soccer Camp

This last week, Nikolas and Riley attended the Challenger Soccer Camp...which made for a crazy week!
Nikolas wanted to do full day camp, so our week was full of back and forth trips to the soccer field.
Both Nikolas and Riley went from 9-noon and then Nikolas stayed, ate lunch, and practiced from 1-4, needless to say, he was exhausted by the end of the day.
It was a busy week, but the boys had fun!

Wednesday was CRAZY hair day...
Friday was face paint day...
This is the group of kids that practiced in the morning...ages 6-8
Coach Kevin and Riley...there was a bit of a language barrier because all the coaches were from England or Ireland and the boys had to try and figure out what certain words meant!

Nikolas had so much fun going full day...even though he was the youngest by 3 years!
